At this open house, visit activity booths that most interest you, where you can try out free, research-focused AI tools on the web:

- Deep Research by Mike Caulfield, based in ChatGPT, for checking the strength of an argument's claims and finding alternative sources to read to debunk or clarify misleading claims and misinformation.
and tools embedded in the FRCC libraries' subscription databases:
- EBSCO Discovery Service's natural language processing feature to ask research questions and get results
- O'Reilly for Higher Education's Answer feature for natural language questions and compiled starting bibliographies in technology and business skills.
- ProQuest, JSTOR, and ScienceDirect reading assistants to develop your reading skills for dense research articles and refine your information literacy skills related to tone, bias, and chart interpretation.
We'll wrap up with a discussion on how to use these tools ethically and the unique strengths of your human analysis and thinking!
