Event Details
Read and discuss books for tweens, about tweens! Tweens and an adult mentor (parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, family friend, etc.) explore stories of tweenhood together. Talk about the book, try hands-on activities, and make new friends along the way.
Our November 2025 program features the graphic novel Invisible - written by Christina Diaz Gonzalez and illustrated by Gabriela Epstein.
George, Sara, Dayara, Nico, and Miguel have nothing in common with one another, even though some people see them as all the same. And now they’re stuck together when they’re forced to complete their school’s community service hours. Then they meet someone who truly needs their help, and they must decide whether they are each willing to expose their own secrets to help . . . or if remaining invisible is the only way to survive middle school.
Invisible is an award winning and entertaining story about unexpected friendships and being seen for who you really are.
