Event Details
Read and discuss books for tweens, about tweens! Tweens and an adult mentor (parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, family friend, etc.) explore stories of tweenhood together. Talk about the book, try hands-on activities, and make new friends along the way.
Our Fall 2025 program features the novel The Sea in Winter by Christine Day. Maisie, a 12-year old Makah/Piscataway girl, fell in love with ballet as a young girl. When an injury forces her to put her dreams on hold, Maisie struggles with feelings of loss and hopelessness. The Sea in Winter is a compelling story of grief, identity, and resilience.
