Program Description

Event Details

Join Vicky Hays to learn simple embroidery and make your own amazing needleart creation to take home! This special program is meant to engage community members of all generations in sharing the joy of needleart and to experience warmth and love in the late winter with some cozy embroidery.  All ages are welcome and encouraged to attend, but some manual dexterity is required, so we recommend 8 years old as the youngest age for participation in using the needles and patterns. All materials, including simple patterns for various ages, will be provided. Vicky is a longtime part of the Poudre Libraries family and has loved sharing her immense talent for creating needleart and fiber works with us. This program will coincide with Vicky's exhibit in Old Town Library's upstairs art gallery during February and March, showcasing needleart from the last 100 years from three generations of women in Vicky's family. We encourage all who attend this program to check out the exhibit when you can!

*Space for this program is limited, and registration is required.
