Free to Read Book Club Registration Opens

Registration opens today for the August 26 event: Free to Read. The Free to Read Book Club is perfect for high school students and adults interested in exploring banned and challenged books. 

August's discussion will be about Looking for Alaska, by John Green.  This young adult novel follows sixteen-year-old Miles' during his first year at Culver Creek Preparatory School in Alabama, where he makes good friends and plays great pranks, but ultimately must deal with an unexpected tragedy.

Looking for Alaska is a bestselling novel and multiple award winner.  It was also ranked as the second most banned book from US schools during the 2023-24 school year by Pen America.
