Garden Friends - Microscopes in The Garden

Garden Friends is a series of programs that will introduce the pollinator and sensory garden, increase both connectivity and access to nature, allow discovery of pollinator plants, insects and animals, and foster stewardship of natural resources.

In this session of the Garden Friends series you will explore the garden up close with microscopes that you can hold in your hand! Together we'll dig into the science of the small parts of things that make plants, pollinators, and gardens grow and work together to sustain the Earth while we look closely at flower petals, leaves, pollen, the parts of pollinating insects, and anything else we can find.

We'll complete our investigation by making sensory art creations inspired by the wonders we see. All materials will be provided.

Please be sure to have your child wear weather and sun-appropriate clothing (hats) and sunscreen as it will be warm and sunny, and to send them with a water bottle. There are no restrooms at the garden, and restrooms are available at the library building at 201 Peterson Street.
