Event Details
This book club focuses on stories of girlhood in children's literature and is designed for tweens in grades 4-6 and an adult, female-identifying mentor (mom, grandmother, aunt, family friend). This book club provides the opportunity to bond with an adult mentor while also making new friends, discussing the book, and trying hands-on activities.
We welcome all girls, girl-identifying individuals, and non-binary and gender non-conforming people who are comfortable in a space that centers the experiences of girls.

The book selection for this session is Ninth Ward by Jewell Parker Rhodes, a historical fiction novel set during Hurricane Katrina.
