Do you think the gardening season is over come September? As summer winds down, now is time to pivot into fall gardening. In this workshop, explore the why and how of fall gardening including: how to extend the summer season via plant protectors; when and how to plant fall cold-hardy crops; what perennials to plant for seasonal color and which bulbs to plant for colorful flowers next spring. And of course, fall is the time to clean-up the garden – pulling spent annuals, cutting back perennials, clearing out dead plant material, and removing all weeds. Learn about these steps and more for a perfect fall garden.
Presented by Larimer County Master Gardener Susan Bonsall.
