Old Town Library Art Gallery: SpeakOut! and the Community Literacy Center Exhibit

During the months of December and January this exhibit is showcasing creative writing and art from editions of the SpeakOut! Journal published by the Community Literacy Center at CSU. The work in the exhibit and in the SpeakOut! journals includes visual art, storytelling, poetry, lyrics, and more created by community members at crisis centers and experiencing incarceration and other marginalized situations. SpeakOut! workshops provide a creative outlet and foster expression and connection where artists produce a wide variety of work they may choose to share in the journals and community exhibits like this one. This exhibit has been curated by Community Literacy Center Director Tobi Jacobi and Associate Director Mary Ellen Sanger.
