Read the rainbow! In this book club, we explore and discuss books by authors and about characters from the LGBTQ+ community.
This month for the Reading Rainbow: LGBTQ+ Book Club we'll be reading and discussing The Empress of Salt and Fortune by Nghi Vo.
Join us in-person at Old Town Library. These discussions are free and open to the public, but you must register to receive an invitation and information on getting a copy of the book.
Book Description: A young royal from the far north is sent south for a political marriage in an empire reminiscent of imperial China. Her brothers are dead, her armies and their war mammoths long defeated and caged behind their borders. Alone and sometimes reviled, she must choose her allies carefully.
