Program Description

Event Details

With so many confusing and contradictory pieces of news, do you ever wonder how our government is REALLY doing for the average American? This data-driven presentation examines how the major functions of government such as healthcare, education, defense, economic policy and more, are performing. It connects these roles to the growing reality that the “American Dream”, once defined as opportunity, stability, and upward mobility, has become harder to achieve. We’ll also compare our USA results to other industrialized countries to see how we stack up. Presented by Mike OConnell.

Mike OConnell believes Americans deserve a simple and honest accounting of our government’s performance. He’s a former corporate executive and small business owner, and the retired director of the Larimer Small Business Development Center (SBDC). He’s shown this presentation to over a dozen northern Colorado organizations.
