Event Details

Join the author of WALK - Slow Down, Wake Up & Connect at 1-3 Miles per Hour, Jonathon Stalls (he, his), for a community walk and book reading event. We'll meet at Old Town Library for an optional 45-minute walk (or roll if you use a wheelchair) on nearby town sidewalks and the Poudre Trail taking place at 5:00 pm. The walk/roll event will move at a conversational pace and touch on several themes offered in the book (mindfulness in nature, human connection, mobility justice, and more).

The group will close the walk/roll back at Old Town Library just before 6:00 pm where Jonathon will offer a short talk on his work with Intrinsic Paths, Walk2Connect, and the Pedestrian Dignity project. He will also offer a few readings from the book and engage in Q&A. Participants who only want to join the talk, book reading, and signing can plan to arrive at Old Town Library just before 6:00 pm. Light snacks and drinks will be provided. If you are interested in going on the walk, please make sure to register as there is limited space and we will send you confirmation, reminders and a small planning email the day before. Registration is not required for the book talk.
