Program Description

Event Details

CSU's SpeakOut! program is hosting a drop-in writing workshop to foster community connection and spark creativity and empowered self-expression here at the library! This workshop is open to anyone who would like to create and share stories, experiences, and ideas through writing. Poems, lifestories, drama, storytelling, and lyrics are some forms writing might take- all kinds of writing are welcome and encouraged and no experience or writing background is necessary!

This program will be held in the open "Treehouse" area on Old Town Library's second floor that is showcasing the creative work of previous SpeakOut! workshop participants as the library's current art exhibit. This workshop will be facilitated by Tobi Jacobi and Mary Ellen Sanger as part of the Community Literacy Center of the College of Liberal Arts and the English Department's community engagement programming.
